Mike Cooper voices Ultimate Africa for National Geographic

by Mike on August 4, 2009

I’ve just completed the voiceovers for six programmes for National Geographic Channel, which are due to start airing this week. “Ultimate Africa” follows veteran safari adventurer, Jean Du Plessis, as he explores how both big-game trophy hunting and anti-poaching efforts are part of the conservation strategies in East Africa.

There are ten programmes in all, and the six I voiced are as follows:

Rhinos Of Ol Pejeta – Thursday 6 August at 6pm
Lost World Of Gabon – Friday 7 August at 6pm
Fugitives Of Laikipia – Monday 10 August at 6pm
Shadows Of The Serengeti – Tuesday 11 August at 6pm
Journeys Into The Bush – Wednesday 12 August at 6pm
Crosshairs of Conservation – Thursday 13 August at 6pm

The programmes were produced by Canadian producer Michael Dalton-Smith, who was kind enough to contact me recently to say how pleased he was that I was providing the UK voiceover! You can find out more about the production on his own website here, and see full episode details on the Nat Geo Wild website here, including details of subsequent showings.

Nat Geo Wild is on Sky channel 528 and Virgin 228 in the UK.
