Back to school

Tonight I started a twelve-week course at London’s City Lit college, called “Technical Voice Production”. More or less everything I’ve learned about using my voice has been picked up on the journey, with very little by way of instruction other than some voice coaching at the BBC. I view this course as an opportunity to find out more about how my voice actually works, how to get more out of it, and to get some “under-the-bonnet” knowledge on looking after it. After all, it’s my fortune, right?
